Mark’s Deck

This was the result of spending a weekend up in Seattle to help Mark build a deck off the back of his house. He designed it all in Google Sketchup, and we put it together over the course of a weekend!

Got all the 2x6 joists set up, starting to add the rim joists and blocking.

Checking it all out. We weren't planning on using joist hangers, but turned out to be one of the easier ways to secure the rim joists due to no clearance.

Most of the framing is done. Some more blocking was added to support the picture frame around the down spout.

We continued the picture frame detail around the down spout. A bit more work, but worth the effort.
